Friends Academy values the physical well-being of its students and offers programs and activities built into the school day, like physical education classes, outdoor education activities, and recess.  An after-school interscholastic sports program is open to middle school students on a voluntary basis and includes soccer, field hockey, cross-country, basketball, and lacrosse.

Regardless of experience or ability, students are encouraged to take part in age-appropriate athletics.

Fundamentals of each sport are taught, however, the main goal is to build an understanding and appreciation for hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

We encourage students of all levels of experience and ability to participate in our after school interscholastic athletics program. Friends Academy coaches guide and motivate students in the areas of skill development, tactical decision‐making, and physical fitness. We are process‐oriented but also revel in the thrill of competition. The ultimate goal of our athletics program is to instill in each student an appreciation for effort, teamwork and sportsmanship.
