Soup and Healthy Lunches are here!

This winter we're ready to offer a couple of options for lunch.  The first is our tried and true Subway option where students can opt for a variety of subs, toppings, and a side.

We will also be offering an additional lunch option on Wednesdays from January 9, 2019 – May 29, 2019. The cost is $8.00 per Wednesday lunch. We have again partnered with a local chef, Christopher Chaput, to make a selection of healthy lunches, each week, from locally sourced meats. We will also offer optional take-home foil pans for families to be taken home the same day for the cost of $15.00 per ready to heat foil pan (8.5”x6”x2”; about the size of 4 cakes/burgers per pan). Your child’s order will be delivered to their classroom.

More information is included on each of the forms. Click on and fill out either of the forms linked below (one per family) and return it to Mrs. Parker in the office. To learn more about these options, and their pricing, contact Katherine Furtado atkfurtado@friendsacademy1810.org or 508-999-1356 ext.1104.

Healthy menu rotation for 2019 will include:

  • Lasagna
  • Chicken over rice
  • Chicken enchiladas
  • Crispy fish filets
  • Pulled pork sandwiches
  • Baked ziti

You can find the forms below, as well as on the School Forms section of our website.

 MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

The 7th and 8th grade play will begin in January. Please stay tuned for audition and rehearsal information!

On Friday, January 11th, the Middle School will begin a new trimester of service activities. Students were given the option to remain in the same activity or join a different group. We added a new service opportunity to work with a local animal shelter.

The first semester ends Friday, January 18. Progress reports will be ready in BigSIS approximately one week afterwards.

The Friends Academy Song Circles

In the paradigm of how music has been taught and shared for centuries, we want to continue and foster this tradition in our community. Join us the first Friday of every month, from 5-6:00 pm in the Commons. This is an offering for our parent/adult community. Bring your acoustic instruments. Play. Sing. Share. Follow along. Or we’ll follow you. Hosted by our very own Putnam Murdock.
