New Friends Academy Magnets!

If you have not received a new FA magnet but would like one, please drop by Katherine Gaudet’s office or email her at kgaudet@friendsacademy1810.org  - she will get one (or two) to you ASAP. Thank you!

Just a reminder - Drop Off & Parking

In the morning at drop off, if you want to walk your child in, please park in the Visitor spaces in front of the Bullard entrance (front entrance) or in the parking lot.  Please do not park along the curb as it slows down drop off for other parents. Thank you!

Attendance and Tardiness

The key to your children settling into class, getting their materials organized, and putting away lunch and coats, is getting to school on time. In this way, they will be ready for their day. School will start at 8:00 am. Students will be marked tardy after 8:05. Please remember that there is free before-school childcare from 7:30 until 7:55.  Students in grades 4 - 8 will be in the gym. Students in grades K - 3 will be in Ms. Martin’s room.  Those students needing a quiet alternative in the morning are welcome to join Ms. Cogliano in the library. Early Childhood hosts early arrivals at the Farmhouse.

Lower School Parents’ Night
Please join us on Thursday, September 20th beginning at 6:30 pm in the Commons for our Lower School Parents’ Night.  This is an opportunity to hear more about the teaching and learning happening in each subject, as well as the beginning of the year routines and expectations that are currently being established.  You will hear more about our academic programs and daily life for our students. We hope you can make it!

Room Parents:  If you are interested in being a Lower School Room Parent, please contact Jeanne Machado at jmachado@friendsacademy1810.org.  Room parents help support classroom or curricular needs as determined by the teachers or Mrs. Ross-Cory.  If you have any questions, please contact Jamie Ross-Cory.

Welcome back from Outside-the-Classroom Week! We will resume our normal class schedule.

Middle School Parents’ Night

First Wednesdays

Our first First Wednesday will be on October 3rd from 8:00-11:00. Other First Wednesday dates throughout the year are: November 7, December 5, January 9, February 6, March 6, April 3 and May 1.  Thank you!

Early Childhood Enrollment for 2019-2020

Early Childhood spots are filling up quickly. Admissions wants to alert Friends' parents that there are only 8 spots available in the Early Childhood Program for the 2019-2020 school year. Katherine Gaudet has already received several outside applications for students, but feels it is essential to serve our current Friends Academy prospective students first.  If you are interested in enrolling your child into the Early Childhood Program next year, please contact Katherine Gaudet at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
