The After-School Program is led by dedicated, experienced staff, many of whom also substitute teach or support classroom teachers during the school day. Students use the gym, the playground, the library, and classrooms to play games, read books, do homework, explore new enrichment activities, and spend time with friends. Snacks are provided each day.
Families can find up-to-date information about current After-School Program offerings and register for after-school care on the Blackbaud Resource Board (login required).
After-School Program Options
“Stay and Play”
The traditional After-School Program, or “Stay and Play,” is open to all students each day from dismissal until 5:00pm. Students are grouped by grade level. They typically eat a snack and play outside (weather dependent) on the playground or basketball court. Students can also stay inside and do homework or play with games and toys.
Throughout the year, the After-School Program offers different enrichment options, led by knowledgeable instructors. These may include sewing, yoga, dance, chess, crafts, sports, and other academic, creative, and athletic opportunities. Enrichment programs typically run seasonally. All enrichment programs include after-school care until 5:00pm.
