What is your favorite thing about working at Friends Academy? Watching the children connect with the natural world while exploring our beautiful campus. The genuine joy they express in discovering the natural world, the important lifelong lessons they embrace while acting as stewards of our campus and our community, and the camaraderie that develops between the children while interacting in nature are all so valuable and inspiring for me to take part in creating as their teacher.
What do you love to do outside of school? Spend time in the natural world, especially near the ocean, read, visit bookstores and libraries, go to yoga classes, listen to music, especially live music, and enjoy delicious food with friends.
Do you have children who attend(ed) Friends Academy? Abigail ‘14 and Emilia ‘16
Fun Fact: Organizing dance parties for the Farmhouse is one of my specialties. I have been known to do a headstand to get the children’s attention!
