What is your favorite thing about working at Friends Academy? Following the interests of students and families to create and deliver high-quality auxiliary programming. Much of life’s learning happens out of the classroom – and I like being a part of the team who help make that learning and growth possible in a safe and engaging way.

What do you love to do outside of school? Anything outdoors! Snowboard, cycle/bike, kayak or canoe, hike, camp, swim, rock-climb, walk my dog (Landon), and spend time with my niece (Winter) and nephew (Finley). I am continuously renovating my house and increasing my gardens!

Fun Fact: I was an outdoor environmental educator and wilderness guide for many years. It’s a passion of mine to help get people outdoors: learning about, engaging with, and becoming stewards of our natural world. I also spent some time traveling the country in a converted school bus (that ran on used vegetable oil and biodiesel) as a teaching tool for environmental sustainability.
