Sports Camps at Friends Academy in Dartmouth, MA are specialty summer camps for kids who want to build skills in soccer, basketball, fencing, running — or a little bit of everything!
2026 Season: June 22 to August 14 (8 weeks) + BONUS Week 9 Challenger Soccer Camp
All specialty camps are organized by week, and then by incoming grade (in parentheses) from youngest to oldest. Choose camps marked for the grade your child will enter in Fall 2026.

Week 1: June 22-26
Half Day (9am-12pm)
Instructor: Mark Young
Can’t pick one sport? Try them all in All Sports! Using fun and creative approaches, campers will learn and play a variety of traditional and non-traditional sports and games — all geared toward having fun, learning new skills, and improving on others. From basketball to baseball, table-tennis to kickball, and creative warm-up and cool-down games, there’s something for everyone!
Week 2: June 29-July 2*
*no camp July 3 (Independence Day observed)

Half Day (9am-12pm)
Instructors: Rhode Island Fencing Academy and Club
En garde! Learn the basics of fencing, a dynamic sport that helps to develop coordination, concentration, self-esteem, resilience, and integrity. Led by trained instructors with RIFAC, campers will build both confidence and technical proficiency as they conquer the physical and mental challenges of fencing using a wide range of bouting and fencing-specific games and drills. (All fencing equipment provided.)
Week 4: July 13-17
Half Day (9am-12pm) & Full Day (9am-3pm) options
Instructors: Challenger Sports
In this long-running, one-of-a-kind soccer camp, Challenger Sports brings its top-level soccer coaches (with awesome accents!) to Friends Academy. Their amazing soccer curriculum uses innovative practices with a unique cultural twist to help campers of all ages develop core technical skills. (All participants receive a free soccer ball and Challenger t-shirt.)
Week 5: July 20-24
Half Day (9am-12pm)

Campers of all abilities are welcome to Basketball Camp! Come fine-tune your basketball skills, or build new ones, in this safe and welcoming camp environment. Campers will work on passing, dribbling, shooting, and more. Basketball Camp is also a great opportunity to make new friends who love to play ball and stay active!
Week 6: July 27-31
Half Day (9am-12pm)
Instructors: Hayleigh Chenard & Kate Mooney
Hey, girls — come build and fine-tune your basketball skills this summer in a safe, welcoming, and empowering all-female camp environment. Campers will work on passing, dribbling, shooting, and more. Basketball Camp for Girls is also a great opportunity to make new friends who love to play ball and stay active! All levels welcome.
Week 7: August 3-7
Half Day (9am-12pm)
Instructor: Mark Young
There’s something for everyone in Outdoor Games camp! Learn and play a variety of traditional and non-traditional outdoor games — including basketball, soccer, wiffle ball, and so much more. Campers will learn new games and skills, improve on others, and most importantly, have fun!
Week 8: August 10-14
Half Day (9am-12pm)
Instructor: Kit Shilling
An exciting new camp for girls who want to learn and love the game of field hockey! Through dynamic drills, friendly competition, and team-building activities, campers will develop fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense. Whether your daughter is picking up a stick for the first time or looking to sharpen her game, she’ll leave with new skills, new friends, and a passion for the sport! (Campers must bring sticks, shin guards, mouth guards and appropriate footwear. Goggles optional.)
BONUS Week 9: August 17-21
