Summer Friends is Friends Academy’s flagship day camp for ages 3-16
2026 Season: June 22 to August 14 (8 weeks)
Summer Friends campers are grouped by the grade children will enter in Fall 2026 (K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8). For preschoolers ages 3-4, we offer Little Friends at the Farmhouse. For teens ages 14-16, join our three-week Counselor in Training (CIT) leadership development camp.

Each week of Summer Friends features a theme with special activities! Campers may embark on an off-campus field trip (depending on age group) and/or enjoy a guest presentation.

Summer Friends (Grades 6-8)

Little Friends is a safe, nurturing, and exciting first summer camp experience for preschool-aged children (ages 3-4)!
Located in the Friends Academy Farmhouse — where our Early Childhood students learn, grow, and play during the school year — Little Friends take part in outdoor and indoor activities specifically designed for our youngest campers. The day is paced appropriately for young children, including an afternoon rest/quiet time (for full-day campers).

- Campers must be 3 years old, fully toilet trained, and meet important developmental milestones to enroll in Little Friends.
- Little Friends do not attend off-campus field trips. They do take part in special presentations and activities from guests and visitors!

Summer Friends: The camp that started it all here at Friends Academy more than 25 years ago!
Campers spend the day in small groups organized by the grade they will enter in Fall 2026 (K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8**). Summer Friends build new skills and lifelong friendships through a variety of fun, enriching activities designed for their age group, including: crafts, sports, music, water play, science experiments, nature exploration, Challenge Course, and more.
Each week, full-day Summer Friends participate in either an off-campus field trip or a special guest presentation related to the week’s camp theme!

- Campers attending a morning half day (9am-12pm) camp can add Summer Friends afternoons (12-3pm) to make a full camp day.
**for Grades 6-8: Summer Friends is only offered in the afternoons (12-3pm) following a morning Specialty or SBP camp. - Field trip transportation/admission and visiting program fees are included as part of the weekly Summer Friends full-day camp rate.

Hey, future camp leaders — get a strong start at Friends Academy’s Counselor in Training (CIT) program!
This three-week experiential learning camp is for responsible young teens (ages 14-16) who wish to someday become camp counselors, educators, and/or community leaders. CITs collaborate with one another to set goals, work with younger campers, participate in team-building activities, and reflect on their experiences. Guided by seasoned summer camp counselors and FA staff, CITs gain skills in leadership, public speaking, outdoor safety, and more.

- CITs can earn volunteer hours in land stewardship, develop presentation skills, and receive training in CPR, first aid, and Leave No Trace.
